Costume # 11: CUTE Oompa Loompa :)

ok, so I think I might end up being a cute little oompa loompa on Halloween because my friend Alli has convinced me that it would be cute if she dressed up as Willy Wonka, and I was her little oompa loompa.  I definitely want to make this look cute and girly, which should be a bit of a challenge, but I think I might be able to pull it off.  Be sure to look out for pictures of me as a cute oompa girl... and make sure when you are eating your first Wonka Bar this Halloween you check to see if you got a Golden Ticket!.......... ok, I know that wasn't that funny...

Here is a girl in her oompa attire

So for my hair, I think I will do my faux bob again, which was super easy, and just spray that temporary green dye in it.  For makeup, I will get a foundation that is slightly more orange and set it with a super orange/tan powder.  I still want my oompa loompa look to be  cute, so I want to do some cute green eye shadow, and maybe some green eye lashes.  I also want to go to a candy store and maybe pick up a couple of those novelty looking lolly pops to stick in my pockets...

Green shadow pics

OOOOOO THERE ARE HIGH FASHION OOMPA LOOMPAS TOO!

SEE! it is Cool to be this tan (not)

ok.. here is Kandee's take on this look.  Kandee is way more authentic.  I want to be way more girly than her look, but I thought I would post it anyway because Kandee is awesome and this video is super funny :)  DOOPITY DOO!!!!

Lightning Bold Earrings

Getting ready to have a fun night with my Lightning Bolding earrings I got at Charlotte Russe for only $5.00!

My FLAPPER COSTUME! AND MY FIRST YOUTUBE VIDEO!!!!!!

Hey everyone! Last night was super fun because my flapper costume turned out great.  I was scared that I wouldn't be able to pull  off the faux bob.  My hair is really fine, so I thought it would look bad, and you would be able to see all the bobby pins.  However, it turned out great!!!  and it didn't take long at all.  It just took tons of bobby pins and a lot of hairspray... yeah, my hair didn't move at all last night! (thanks to Big Sexy Hair hairspray :)

Here I am with my long hair

And here I am with my Flapper Faux bob

The magic hairspray!

Here is the Faux Bob tutorial that helped me out

Here I am all decked out with the Flapper accessories.  I LOVED the head band that I got at Charlotte Russe.. It was so much better than the one I bought from the costume store, and it fit snuggly on my head.

Vamping it up with a cig..

And DRUM ROLL PLEASE!!!!! MY FIRST YOUTUBE VIDEO!!!

Costume # 9: Black Swan

The film Black Swan gave the fashion world a dark edgy feminine edge in apparel and makeup.  This would be a super fun costume for Halloween, and it would not be that hard to pull off.  All you need is a black ballerina dress and the right makeup.  The hair is extra easy, because all you need to do is pull it in a super tight ballerina bun.

You could go the extra mile and get red contacts to make your eyes creepy blood red, but I don't think it is necessary.  If I were to do this look, I don't think I would use the contacts.

Here is a look side view the the tight ballerina bun.

I Thought this black feather arm piece was really interesting.
