Did I Mention I am a Total CROW Freak?

Yes... I am in love with The Crow (1994) starring Brandon Lee.  I have seen this movie a million times, and it never gets old.  It is my number one favorite movie.  I love the setting of the the early 1990s urban culture in this film.  They plan on remaking The Crow and it is planned to be released in 2013. I am of course not happy about this.  To me, that is like remaking The Sound of Music or Wizard of Oz. It just shouldn't be done!

Here is the awesome original Trailer

Here is a great review (this video is long but the guy talking I'm pretty sure is my soul mate)

Sean Kingston "Beautiful Girls"

I know this song has been around for a while, but I just love the way it sounds.. For me, it is definitely one of those songs that can instantly put you in a different mood.

Cat Eye Sunglasses Rock!

Here I am in my favorite cat eye sunglasses that I got at Charming Charlie.  I love the cat eye shape because it is the only shape that looks good with the shape of my face.  Those over sized round sunglasses just always make me look like a bug... or like this.....  lol

Here is a picture of me so you know what my eyes look like :)

I Love Naked Palette

I Love Urban Decay's Naked Palette, because it is very natural and with some shimmer :) I bought this palette in July, and have used it every day since!

Here are the colors from left to right:

  • Virgin is a pale, shimmered nude beige. It’s very, very light, but it’s such a beautiful neutral. It’s a little frosty for a highlighter, particularly on darker skin tones, but it would make for a great all-over wash or pop of light on the inner tear duct. **** I USE THIS ONE A LOT****
  • Sin is a champagne with a touch of pink and a frostier finish. This shade is permanently available.
  • Naked is a matte medium beige-brown. It has a very soft, smooth texture–not at all powdery or chalky.
  • Sidecar is a shimmered, medium bronze brown with almost a red undertone. This shade was in the first edition of the Book of Shadows. (I didn’t see it on Urban Decay’s website at all.) ****I USE THIS ONE A LOT****
  • Buck is a matte darkened beige-brown. It’s really a darker version of Naked. It has the same silky smooth texture and rich color pay off of Naked, too.
  • Half Baked is a coppery bronze with a frost-metallic finish. This shade is permanently available.
  • Smog is a medium dark bronze with a gilded bronze sheen. This shade is permanently available.
  • Darkhorse is a darkened deep chocolate brown with flecks of bronze.
  • Toasted is a medium dark pinky brown with a shimmery finish. This shade is permanently available. **** I USE THIS ONE ALOT****
  • Hustle is a dark plummy chocolate brown with a soft shimmer finish. **** I USE THIS ONE A LOT****
  • Creep is a darkened blue-black base with silver and teal shimmer. Urban Decay said “onyx with gold glitter”
  • Gunmetal is a blue-gray metallic that really must be seen to be appreciated. It almost feels like a duochrome, because it flashes blue but it’s dark and smoldering. This shade is permanently available.
** Holly Tip** Check out the Naked Palette 2! it is very similar to the original, but is more matte and less shimmery!

Jonathan Queen

Jonathan Queen blew me away with his realism paintings last week when he visited my school.  All of his paintings revolve around the subject matter of antique toys, and his skill is remarkable.  These paintings look like photographs.. I am so Jelo (Green Jelo)

"Antiques, vintage objects, wooden boxes, and photos are the props I use to set the stage of my narrative paintings. Toys in the right setting become complex characters with a deeper story to tell. My influences come from classical painting, nature, literature, my family and my faith." (Jonathan Queen)

Here are some of my Favorites
